Justin and Katie moved to the Lemhi Valley just under a year ago. They purchased the Kolman's place in Baker, yes, that great one with the little bond and bridge. 

It is such a great piece of property, right on the river, shaded, a pond, and really is just so beautiful. I suggested taking their maternity/family session at their property. I sometimes think spring gets a bad rap, that it isn't that beautiful. 

Everything still looks kinda dead, its still cold at night and nothing has really blossomed yet. But It is really so gorgeous, the soft sun and a little warmth. I love it and you don't have to wait until like 10 p.m. for the sunset.

Katie is obviously incredibly beautiful. Her hair was so beautiful and dark and their daughter Finley, was so sweet. Katie said she she can never get a good photo of Finley and that sounded like a challenge to me. 

Sometimes parents can't get that photo of their kid, so I love to try and get that perfect shot for them. Finley was looking for the "big buck" in my lens. I also convinced Katie to get into the water, and as Justin pointed out it was straight snow run off. But I think it was worth it. What do you think?
