Yeates Family - Shoup, Idaho
I have had the privilege of photographing quite a few extended family sessions and some still on my books for the summer of 2022.
Extended family sessions usually consistent of grandparents with their children and their families. So a lot of people and usually a ton of kids.
These specific sessions are SPECIAL because they are usually scheduled around a family reunion of some sort, weddings, even funerals. During these sessions it's fun to watch grandchildren interact with their grandparents, grown adult siblings with their parents - it's pretty fun.
The Yeates family was no exception.
The family has property up Panther Creek where I met them. It was such a beautiful drive. So beautiful I may have gotten a little lost. It is so stunning up there! The rushing river, with the mountains and trees - Lemhi County is such an amazing place.
Due to my tardiness, the Yeates family was ready to go by the time I found them. We snapped some photos in the front of their cabin, a special request and then headed down to the perfect spot Grandpa saw.
It was perfect.
He spotted a great spot off the road, a great shot of the mountains but a ton of wild sunflowers and amazing rocks. It was truly breathtaking. I was all of a sudden questioning why I have never dragged a couple or graduating senior to the area.
The spot was rocky so we walked around to get the perfect spot for each shot. It was so much fun. I got some great shots of Richard and Teresa. They were such great sports and did whatever I asked of them.
We added their son and daughter Casey and Alisha. Then Casey's sons and his wife and her children. It was a great session in such a perfect spot.
Such a special session for this family.
