Springtime in Idaho may not be the first season that comes to mind for an engagement session, but trust me—there’s a special kind of beauty in the quiet transformation between winter and summer. The muted tones, the soft light, and the hint of new beginnings make for an incredible backdrop. And for Tyler and Justine, it was the perfect setting to capture their love story.

I had such a great time with these two. Every couple I photograph brings something unique to their session, but the one thing they all have in common is trust. It’s something I never take for granted. Tyler and Justine trusted me to find the beauty in an “ugly” season, and honestly, I love how their photos turned out. The raw, natural landscape gave us a romantic, timeless feel—just them, the wide-open spaces, and the start of their next chapter together.

Tyler and Justine are set to tie the knot this summer right here in Salmon at Faith Bible Chapel, where Justine serves as a pastor. Their wedding is going to be such a special celebration of love, faith, and community. But beyond that, Justine also owns Fleurish Floral, a staple in our small town for breathtaking floral designs. I’ve worked alongside her so many times at weddings, watching her craft stunning bouquets and arrangements for other brides. But now? It’s her turn. And I can’t wait to see how her vision comes to life on her big day. No pressure, Justine, but I’m expecting the most incredible flowers ever!
