Nick & Anna: Destination, Salmon, Idaho
Nick and Anna are getting married in Salmon!
Salmon has certainly become a "destination" location for couples. Whether they are looking for a weekend-long experience of an intimate elopement Salmon is certainly becoming "the place" for your wedding.
I have met couples who simply choose Salmon based on location, ironically "middle" ground for everyone. If you live in Salmon you may think that is crazy because it feels like we live in the middle of no where. And that is why Nick and Anna chose Salmon. It was an easier destination for everyone. And the natural beauty of mountains and river was an extra bonus for the outdoor loving couple.
The two met at a martial arts class, fast forward and Nick proposed during their first cross country skiing.
It was so wonderful being able to photographer these two here in Salmon prior to their July wedding at Sweet Water Hollow. They traveled to Salmon from Northern Idaho for a walk-thru of the wedding venue. This allowed some extra time in Salmon and they took advantage of the opportunity for some engagement photos.
These pre-spring photos are so beautiful. Spring always gets a bad rap because it isn't the "prettiest" time of year, it's usually muddy and nothing is blooming quite yet but spring is my favorite.
This is a great ice breaker with your photographer if you haven't met in addition to a lot of other reasons. Read more about that below.
Nick and Anna have been to Salmon before and we chose an easy, yet beautiful location. Anna and I talked on the phone prior to the session and I really loved that she asked what they "shouldn't" wear. They came prepared with three great outfits.
We had so much fun and got all the outfits in and were able to get a cup of coffee at the Salmon River Coffee Shop after.
