Noah and Emily ELOPED
I have worked with Emily quite a few times in the past, formals, senior photos and most recently some sweet little photos of her and her baby boy, Trev. I knew she had been planning a potential September 2021 wedding so I was surprised when she messaged me an elopement - the same week. We tossed around ideas and I sent over some spots I have photographed before that are understated but incredibly beautiful. We went up near the motocross tracks and it did not disappoint. The weather was great minus the wind, but we expected that.
Noah and Emily met in February of 2020 on a work ski day at Bogas Basin in Boise. A friend introduced the two of them not knowing Noah had actually purchased Emily's old truck. The two hit it off and Emily invited him over for a fire and from there all was history. The two started spending evenings together talking, hanging out and having dinner together.
At the time Emily was five months pregnant with her son, and Noah has been there for her from day one. Emily gave birth and Noah stepped up and treated him like his own. Emily had to of just fallen even more in love with Noah, and he is Trev's dad. It is so sweet.
In September 2020 Noah was deployed to Saudi Arabia for seven months and when he got home Emily said they both just knew we never wanted to go without each other again. Even though they knew we had a lot to work on and get through they knew we were life partners.
They set up this beautiful white table which showcased the gorgeous cake Emily Long had made. On the bottom shelf sat a pair of worn cowboy boots and a United States military BARE. Important elements of the day because they were Emily's brother, Trevor, who passed in a tragic auto accident years ago. Emily also incorporated his military "dog tags" within her bouquet. Small touches like this are so great and it is so special to photograph these little details for the couple. Sometimes you get caught up in the day and forget about these small details of the day.
I really loved how beautiful this little ceremony was. Married by Cyndi Drnjevic literally just in a field looking at the beautiful mountains. How perfect it that?
