- Three Generations - Edwards Family -
I am always laughing during the Edwards family session and this time was no exception.
Of course the family looked great and all are used to posing thanks to their time in front of Jenny's camera. Jenny and I have been trying to pull off a family photo session this year for months. Summer got busy, her family is in Boise, her niece is also in the Boise area - but the stars aligned and now why know why.
I love being able to use the Edwards' Ranch for their photos. It truly is a slice of heaven on Highway 93 South. Not only are their giant Cottonwood trees, river frontage, creek water, tall grass and wildlife the way the light hits this property is quite amazing. It really is a favorite spot of mine.
The family always look coordinated even though it feels like it's rushed and last minute. The girls looks gorgeous and the men were all handsome. We drove to a nice open area with tall Cottonwood trees and some tall grass. It was beautiful and the colors looked so great with their outfits choices.
When I photograph extended family sessions I photograph a variety of poses and combinations with everyone. I love getting the grandchildren with grandma and grandpa. All the grandchildren are older so we were able to get some really great ones. I love the one with grandma and grandpa in the middle and the five grandchildren laughing with them. It makes me want a photo with my cousins.
Now while we have been trying to plan a time when everyone was in Salmon at the same time - it just works the way it was suppose too.
There was a secret . . .
We were trying to pull off a surprise and just weren't sure how or how it would go. Keep reading.
I love the yellows and greens. What do you think?
Little did they know they were in for a treat . . .
At the end of the session we moved to a different spot on the ranch and did some more group photos with all of the family together. Now five people in the group didn't know the secret - this includes Sally and Paul (grandparents), Jessica and Marty (parents) and Ashley, the youngest Moore daughter.
Now we put these five together in one picture - and it was an odd combination since it was just Ashley with her parents and grandparents, so she instantly knew something was off. She went with it even though she was questioning what was going on.
Maddy along with her boyfriend Blake, grabbed some little gift bags with the help from her Aunt Jenny, sister Jessica and niece.
Ashley, Paul, Sally, Marty and Jessica all received a gift bag - well because they were not "in on the secret."
They were clearly confused since they certainly were not expecting gifts and weren't expecting the surprise inside. Each bag had a very sweet surprise in it. All five bags has a very special surprise in them, baby clothes and a sonogram.
Maddy and Blake are expecting a baby boy!
