Sheppard Family
This was my first time photographing the Sheppard family.
Living in Salmon it feels like you know everyone but it's really we just know each other's names, we don't really know each other. It was nice getting to know new people that I don't really know.
Kim and Matt along with Logan and Carson pushed through their family session and lived. Kim is certainly in the minority among this group of guys, so imagine the push back with family photos. And we scheduled for the morning, the cherry on top.
Carson brought his football got a photo with it. He is an active student who plays football, basketball and baseball. This is sixth grader was full of energy. Logan, well this wasn't his favorite thing to do before going to work.
Kim tried on a dress from my client closet but it didn't work with what she wanted. I always love trying to get clients to plan their outfits, they are more than welcome to utilize my client closet but the number one priority is BEING COMFORTABLE.
Sounds cliche - but it's true.
If you don't feel comfortable, you won't look comfortable. I was happy that Kim told me she just didn't want to wear it. You need to feel comfortable and confident for your photos, don't second guess yourself. Kim brought a couple different options for herself for the family photos and even allowed hats in.
Usually the fight is the other way around and dad wants to wear the hat, mom says no, but we did half the sessions with hats and half without.
We got a lot of great fall colors in their photos. It's so beautiful this time of year but it's also a little cold. The yellow leaves never seem to last long enough either.
