The Orr family is up next! 

This was my first time working with the Orr family. The boys did so good! I was really impressed how well they listened and smiled, they must be used to family photos. 

We had a lot of fun and played games. That is the key to sessions with kids. I hate when it's no fun and stiff. When you are booking with me, you are getting these special photograph but you are also receiving an experience. I love to go into a session prepared and knowing what I want to see at the location we are at. 

This is important in keeping the session moving and not becoming stale. When you are at the session you may realize you are repeating groupings but in different settings, you may realize that I am clicking away with my camera at what seems odd times but trust me, it's all in the details. 

I love to get shots of genuine laughs of you with your children. I want to get those special looks and irreplaceable hugs and tickles. Those are always the best photos. They are in the moment and real smiles. 

If you have every been around kids you now they all go thru a "weird smile" stage. So sometimes we just get those "weird smiles" in the posed photos. We try really hard not to but it does sometimes happen, and it comes with the growing stages right? But the "in the moment" photos don't have those weird smiles - they are real and always the best. I love the movement in them, when your hair is slightly off and their posture isn't just right but you and your daughter are laughing and relishing in this moment you will never get back.
