Wedding Trends of 2023
Planning a 2023 wedding? I put together FIVE things I think will see more of at 2023 weddings. The wedding industry is always changing and you really never know what will be a viral trend all of a sudden either.
The most important thing about trends and wanting to incorporate a wedding trend is keeping is classy and timeless so when you look back on photographs years down the road you aren't wondering why you had a costume theme wedding.
Metal inspired color palettes
We will see a lot of more silver, gold and rose gold. This will be in silverware, plate sets, drinking cups and small details like candle holders. These metal tones had a romantic feel to any tablescape.
We won't see as much crystal and glass but more copper candle holders and actual silver, silverware. The metal tones are just beautiful and a classic. I love this this look of more golds and metals in general.
What do you think?
Statement Florals
We we will see big floral pieces and decorated arches. I think we will see over-the-top arches with lots of floral and if they have color - colorful. The bigger the better when it comes to floral this year.
We will see a mixture of florists' custom work, fresh wild flower and wooden flowers. So many couples have been implementing wildflowers into their day the last few years.
Statement pieces are in and this will include the bouquet as well. You will see more couples will brighter, bigger floral pieces. Jarrod and Jordan added horns and greenery to their arch and it was really amazing. Jordan chose a statement bouquet when she chose black. It was BEAUTIFUL.
Reception outfit changes
I think you will see a lot of couple jump into a second outfit for their reception. We have been seeing more and more brides opt for a shorter dress for the party and I think that is going to be huge this year.
We are going to see more couples get their ceremony and photos out of the way and slip into something more comfortable and party-worthy. Some brides may be thinking to preserve their wedding dress as well.
You will see shorter dresses on the ladies and something more breathable on the men. Both will be ready to PARTY. Fun receptions are IN, and the couple wants to enjoy their night with music, dancing and their closest friends.
Full Weekend Celebrations
I have seen so many weekend celebrations and I think it will be even bigger now. Why? More couples are choosing destinations where the majority of their guests will travel, and they create an experience for the guests.
This can be guided river trips, planned out dinners and more events focused on the guests interacting together. I have photographed couples who took all their guests on the river, others went camping the whole week prior and some made a trip and event out of getting to Salmon.
Would you be up for a full weekend celebration?
Natural Beauty
I think we will see more couples choose venues and locations with natural beauty. Outside weddings are a thing to stay. Church weddings and inside venues just aren't as popular as outdoor natural beauty locations.
Living in Salmon, Idaho we are the prime place for a wedding if you are looking for beautiful tall mountains, open fields and rushing rivers. You need to get married in Salmon, Idaho.
I have had so many couples elope to Salmon just simply because of the natural beauty. You can get married on top of mountain overlook or along the Salmon River like Erin. Salmon has so much to offer for natural beauty.
