Salmon High School 2022 Senior - Kota
I have taken photos of Kota a few times and mainly sports photography. Now he is a senior at Salmon High School.
Kota is active in football and baseball and has been since he was little. I was surprised he didn't want to include sports in his portraits but was happy he included his truck in some.
Senior portraits should be what you want and what you love and reflect your style. It is great when teens know what they want and what they don't want. When they have a vision, even the very basic vision, it's easier to build and grow that then just an "I don't know."
Kota wanting to use his truck is not uncommon for teenage boys. I usually see more trucks and vehicles than sports. It is fun incorporating something they like and really want to use. I never want to force a senior to use or incorporate something they don't want.
Vehicles • Football • Baseball • Golf • Singing Reading • Volleyball • And Many More
Kota did some senior portraits, he was patient and did whatever I asked. Senior portraits aren't usually something teenage boys are chomping at the bit to do. And guys just pose differently. I see more teen girls excited for senior photos than the guys. The guys usually show up, even though they really didn't want to, it's awkward but they live through it. Kota lived through it.
I really loved the location of the Kota's first set of photos, on North St. Charles. Spring in Idaho doesn't always look so pretty to the eye but it photograph beautifully. The deer were just eating and hanging out in the back during the shoot. It was great.
**If you are 2022 Senior Parent you have about two weeks to get senior portraits done and turnaround time for announcements.
