Meet Piper. 

Piper is a graduating senior at Salmon Junior-Senior High School who likes photography and is into cars. She wanted to incorporate her Derby car which was great! I think it is always great when a graduating senior wants to include a passion, a hobby or anything that they truly love. 

Whether it is sports, art, dance, or building and destroying cars - let's combine things you love. 

We met at the fairgrounds, the perfect place for her derby car but also the location of the annual derby. We got so many great shots and we met later in the evening so the sun was perfection. 

Piper said she was so nervous at first. I am always surprised when teens say they are nervous, well because it seems like they aren't BUT I have to remind myself this nearly every single client is nervous. Every single one. It is kind of awkward at first, a stranger will be taking your photo and that can make you vulnerable. By the end of it, her nerves had dissipated. I like to think once you wiggle out the initial nerves that clients can indeed feel comfortable with me. 

After we got some photos with her car we took some other posed photos. I love the set of photos we got and I think Piper is going to love them. 

Piper is also into portrait photography, something we have in common. I personally cannot do landscape photography the same way I do portrait. I can see a beautiful setting, the sunrise of the mountain range, the clouds are perfect the trees all big and green but I cannot get that same feel thru photography. But put a person in front of me and I can tell you how to move, sit, smile and pose for the best shots. So crazy. 

Piper is also apart of my 2023 Senior Model Rep Program - meaning she gets extra senior sessions this year and some will be fun themed ones, plus discounts and goodies. I am so excited to have her on this year's team. She is so sweet and kind. I can't wait to get the entire team together for some group photos. I have so many fun things up my sleeve for these group of teens.
