Leon & Kara: Wedding Portraits in Salmon
Meet Leon and Kara.
The couple currently resides in Mountain Home, Idaho where Leon is stationed for military training.
They are preparing to move back to Singapore in a few months and wanted to get some wedding portraits. Leon and Kara are already married but they wanted somewhere different then Mountain Home. The couple wanted an open field and snow capped mountains.
Salmon was their destination.
The couple made the drive to Salmon, picked up some flowers from Fleurish Floral they dressed to the nines and were ready for their close up. They looked so great! Kara wore a beautiful dress with gold sequins, her hair up in soft curled tendrils. Leon sported a handsome blue suit and with a wine colored tie. They looked great.
I was able to take my time with them and we went to two different spots, something you normally don't get at a typical wedding. At a "typical" wedding you are more than likely rushed through to get done with photos so you have to be flexible and really know your poses plus very rarely do couples wants to leave their venue for photos.
With the extra time it was great to post Leon and Kara and really do in different places which was great. After some in an open field I took them to the cliffs, a place I felt they would appreciate since they want those photos they may not be able to get again.
Of course they were amazed by the beauty which we are lucky enough to call home. The Bitterroot Mountains, the bluffs, the Salmon River below and just at sunset - it was all perfect. They both were so comfortable in front of the camera, even though they both thought they were awkward.
You can see how much they love each other. It was such special session and am so honored I would take these memories for them. I just loved this whole session and the idea of getting these moment captured the way they want and not how everyone exepcts.
