James and Erin host small intimate elopement
James and Erin planned a wedding in pretty much two weeks and it was perfectly them.
Erin was the sweetest bride. And she was drop dead gorgeous. They got married in her dad's backyard in Elk Bed, really a great little spot close to the highway. What I loved about this couple is they wanted to go and take photos, just the two of them.
I have talked about this before but wedding day photos are often rushed especially if you don't want to see each other before the ceremony. Erin wanted to focus on her and James more, it was a small ceremony with about 12 people but she wanted to make sure to get the photos she wanted. We did just that.
Her main goal was to go to the river by the Rattlesnake Bridge and see what we could get. She let me do my thing and put them wherever and it was so perfect. It looks so neat with those mountains, cliffs, giant trees and river. I love these bridal shots of Erin so much, these may be some of my favorite this year.
It was wonderful to be able to take our time taking these photos and they could really enjoy being together before they got married. I even had them exchange rings right by the river. I feel getting those rings shots during the ceremony are kind of hit or miss and saw this idea to have them exchange them during photos. I really loved this idea.
Erin looked so gorgeous. Her hair was beautifully done by Wendy at Hidden Gem Hair Studio. She has some little wildflowers around her bun, it was so beautiful. James wore a nice blue suit, the two were dressed to the nines.
The two exchanges hand written vows in her father's backyard. They had centerpieces of wildflowers that Erin's mother put together from Missoula Flower Farm, there were colorful bubbles and Kodak disposable cameras.
James cooked the dinner the couple shared their special day with the people they loved most.
