I have seen couples who come to Salmon and want to say, "I do" on the edge of a cliff in the Salmon River below. I met one couple who traveled across the country, and all of their guests who made their wedding a real celebration week. The family and friends took river rafting trips, visited local hot springs and finished their week with the couple exchanging vows.

According to an East Idaho Wedding Photographer
1. It truly is a hidden gem.
Idaho is a growing state, we have welcomed so many new families to the area, so it may not be as hidden as we would like but it is a true gem. Idaho is so easy, yet so hard to describe. I can tell you about the amazing mountains, whitewater rivers, and the colorful sunsets but it nothing like seeing it, feelings.
I remember the first time I saw the mountains as a child, it was like nothing I have ever seen. The magnitude of the size and how small you are - is crazy. And no matter how many times you see them, or go to the same lookout, it never gets old.
Never. It is so breathtaking everyday, even a simple drive to town the view is incredible.
