Cory & Meredith - September Idaho Wedding
Cory and Meredith had such a perfect little September wedding.
This was the best balance of "big" wedding setting but "small" wedding details. Cory and Meredith hosted their wedding at the Sacajawea Center in the city of Salmon.
The Sacajawea Center is a group wedding location. I went a couple years without photographing a wedding at the Sacajawea Center and this year I photographed three.
Cory and Meredith got married at the Ranch yard, directly behind the Interpretive Center. It was decorated beautifully by Dylan from Peony Lane Decorating (Paulette's). He is also really good friends with Dylan.
He did such a wonderful job. I think on the tables always look the best with layers, lots of layers. If there is one thing that can elevate your wedding look, its the tables. Dylan layers tablecloths, runners, centerpieces, candles on woo planks, flower petals - it was perfection. The mixture of colors with different items came together perfectly.
Meredith picked the perfect colors. The day was surprisingly perfect. We have had mixture of really hot days with wildfire smoke on top of that. They chose more autumn colors, deeper tones and they were great with the mixture of sunflowers. The bouquets were so gorgeous, probably my most favorite fall mixture and the centerpieces meshed perfectly.
Their bridesmaids were a burgundy and the groomsmen cleaned up nice in three-piece suits including the youngest groomsmen, Luke. They all looked great. Meredith's gown is so gorgeous. I love the movement.
Cory made their arch of drift wood that he found. He cleaned up it up, treated it and it was really unique and beautiful. The shape is eye-catching and so great that Cori made it for their day.
Their friend Abi married them, wearing a shirt stating, "Official Officiant." The ceremony was actually really great. I say that because it wasn't the normal "I dos." It was personalized to them and it was so funny. It was short and sweet and about them!
I took Cory and Meredith's engagement photos , actually not that long ago. One thing we discovered is that they are awkward in front of the camera and can't stop laughing. Their wedding day was no different. They laughed, they felt awkward at times and in the end we got some great photos of these on their wedding day.
These two are so much fun together, they have a great little banter and I am constantly laughing when I'm around them.
They had a taco bar, a nacho bar, lots of beer and wine and the best little dessert table. Their wedding was the perfect mixture of not to big and not to small. It was a perfect September wedding.

I started getting wedding clients ask about other vendors like catering, flowers, sometimes even locations. Over the last couples of years I have noticed an influx of wedding clients who are eloping to Salmon with tiny weddings or choosing Salmon as a destination wedding with 100 out of town guests.
It's been an adventure.
So I designed a wedding planning guide focusing on Salmon. Salmon is a tricky little growing town and growing up here we just know everyone. Right? And there is always one vendor they can't find like caterers or something like that.
The wedding planning guide has been a great way to also help other small businesses. Sharing is caring. It's been really fun working with other local businesses like Dylan from Peony Lane Decorating, or Justine and Cyndi at Fleurish Floral.
If you are planning a wedding Salmon, go thru the guide and hopefully it helps you in putting you special day together. We all know wedding planning is stressful and can be daunting, and this is one step closer to making it a littler easier to get into contact with local businesses.
The real experts on our area in providing a beautiful wedding experience.
