New Chapter for the Edwards Family
This is such an amazing session.
Meet the Edwards family. You may already know them, I am sure many do. They have a beautiful homestead up Spring Creek, overlooking the valley. The views they have are quite amazing. When Laura first inquired about a family session she wanted to the portrait session on their ranch, and of course right. She wanted to make sure to get this barn in the photos.
The barn was special, is special, but this session meant much more than just some updated photos. While they needed updated photos, Laura said they haven't gotten professional photos taken in years, actually since her children were young - they are adults now - but this time is was much more than that.
The Edwards recently sold their ranch.
We scheduled the session the same weekend they were moving. So an emotional weekend, bittersweet and a really memorable session.
Laura was worried about it being spring. I do have several clients who do worry about shooting in the spring or later winter. It can still be beautiful, a little muddy though. It was a really day, clear skies so we had a clear shot to the mountains which was the cherry on top.
The Edwards family was so much fun - well you can tell with all those smiles and piggyback rides - right?
It was really special to be able to photograph this family and at this barn. This barn and this property has been in the Edwards family for over 100 years - so yeah this is really a core memory for this family.
They were all really great sports for the photos and we got some great shots. It was so easy and seamless and we all laughed so much.
