Grant and Nicole Marry at Twin Peaks Guest Ranch
My dad worked at Twin Peaks Guest Ranch - years and years ago. He was a chef. I remember going to the guest ranch with him, help serve food to guests and swim in the pool. The pool is long gone but the Guest Ranch still sits nestled in the Salmon-Challis National Forest, overlooking the valley. It truly is breath taking.
Probably one of the main reasons Grant and Nicole chose Twin Peaks Guest Ranch as their wedding location.
The two got married in front of about 20 people under a beautiful arch. It was the sweetest ceremony of the two exchanging rings, especially when the ring bearer put a grasshopper in the box. They even did the sweetest thing and watered and planted a tree - so amazing. It is always nice to see how people put their own twist on their big day - this may be traditional dances, or not serving cake - it's okay to do it your way.
I loved the bold red roses with the sunflowers. The flowers in her bouquet are actually wood - yes wood. How neat is that? She incorporated fresh flowers as well and it was a perfect balance. She wore her grandmother's pearl earrings and necklace.
It was a great little wedding of keeping it intimate while still enjoying the day and everyone there.
My favorite part is they wanted to venture out for photos and around the guest ranch. We jumped in our cars and Nicole and Grant had some spots picked out they wanted to make sure they got photos with. It was really nice being able to take extra time with a couple and go around getting more shots of just the bride and groom.
Wedding are hectic, rarely on time and there is usually some sort of time crunch. While in a perfect world we would have endless time to get those "perfect" shots all over but really we are hurrying to get family photos done, bridal party done and then photos of the bride and groom which will limit the time between the two. But I come prepared and ready with an efficient workflow to get thru the formal photos are smoothly and fast as possible to work with the bride and groom as long as possible.
My favorite shots are by the river and bridge. What about you?

Liz Drewiske - Oh, girl! These turned out beautiful. I can't wait to see the rest of the photos. So fun to see a familiar face at my "baby" brother's wedding. You did a wonderful job, and I love the shoutout to the grasshopper in the ring box ha!
