Novelly Wedding at the Sacajawea Center
They had a beautiful wedding at the Sacajawea Center here in Salmon, Idaho. They chose the Sacajawea Center because of it’s views. The venue itself is beautiful, a public space, with the mountain range in perfect view.
When planning a summer wedding (sometimes early fall) you never know if there will be a wildfire in the area. While the day prior and day of there was some smoke due to a close wildfire, by the evening the smoke cleared and it gave a perfect picturesque view for the both of them.
They had some beautiful details, their Save the Dates and invitations were so detailed and unique. I loved the custom wooden plaque on the card. I provide ideas to couples on they may want to include in their detail photos, so happy she brought these along.
Jamie did three first looks. She did one with her dad, Nathan and her stepson Cason. It was so great experiencing each one. Both dad and Cason’s jaws dropped followed with big hugs. Nathan was smiles ear to ear and accompanied his first look with a sweet wedding day gift for Jamie.
These two exchanged vows at the Amphitheatre in front of friends and family. After their first kiss they were celebrated with bubbles back down the aisle. It’s always makes it a little more fun and celebratory when the guests can blow bubbles, toss dried flowers, or whatever it may be.
The reception featured a fun beer canoe, a delicious dinner catered by Last Chance Pizza and lots of dancing thanks to DJ Dan. The reception also had some tear jerker speeches, even from Cason who wanted everyone to know that he indeed has the best stepmom. Jamie dedicated her bouquet to her mother, Annette.
Jamie wanted to honor her mom and realized how much moms do behind the scenes. There is a daddy daughter dance but she wanted to make sure she made her mom feel special and showed appreciation to her. It was so incredibly sweet.
One thing that was important was Jamie and XX her dog. She wanted to make sure that he was included and we got photos because, he did love her first. We got some great photos prior to the ceremony and after.
They danced, danced and danced some more. Jamie and her friends even sang a song, a tradition actually for them and their group of friends. It’s always great to have a DJ at a wedding they are great at getting the party going, getting people on the dance floor - you should look into a DJ for your wedding!
Their day was so beautiful and I am so happy I got to experience their big day with them.
