Nick and Evelyn tie the knot
Nick and Evelyn tied the knot and it was such a great little wedding. The couple hosted their wedding at the 100 Acre Wood Lodge in North Fork. The two traveled from California to have their wedding at this lodge nestled in the forest. Nick and Evelyn know the new owners of the lodge, Dawn and Tony and fell in love with the location.
The California couple and all of their guests traveled to Salmon for this day! I always think it is so neat to that so many couples want to get married here. We live in such an amazing place. And it was wonderful to see all of their guests were out of state guests. All traveling through, staying and shopping.
Evelyn and Nick had a 1920s theme day. While they planned an outdoor wedding, hello spring in Idaho and the rain and SNOW - yes snow on May 21 didn't really allow that. They quickly moved it indoors and it was really perfect. The small wedding just turned even more intimate and allowed the everyone to be included and not miss out on anything.
Evelyn looked so amazing in her non-traditional wedding "dress" and really love when brides step out of tradition. Her white pant suit is fire. She looks gorgeous and her long veil was everything. It had pearls all over and just loved it so much.
They said their vows in front of the river rock fireplace. Guests sat around the couple as their exchanged their hand written vows and sat above on the loft looking down. Such an intimate and perfect ceremony.
I loved the small details Evelyn included in her day. I photographed her ring, her grandmother's necklace and great grandmother's hankey. I love using all of these small elements in photos, these are special little things that you don't want to forget. Evelyn's bouquet was full of beautiful pink and white roses and feathers.
River City Baking provided the most delicious meal of chicken, trip-tip, salad, veggies and potatoes and of course the best desserts. The couple shared their dances again in front of the fireplace, along with some family dances. Their favors were little bottles of Lemoncello, made by Nick himself.
