So Many New Things in One Session
This has to be my favorite trio.
I have so much fun at every session I have done with Matt and Tera. It ha only been like two, I think, but still. Isabelle is literally a doll. Tera said she isn't always smiling but she is always happy at the session and has to be the easiest baby to get to smile - or maybe she just thinks I am funny looking. Possible.
She is always so smiley and is so patient for me and just sit and explores whatever she can reach. She even lets us set her down for some photos of just Matt and Tera. I can always get them smiling.
Matt is pretty funny and gives Tera a hard time - in a good way. They banter back and forth and make each other laugh so they are really fun to work with and Matt is always willing to do whatever I ask of him.
We took their family photos in a cute little fall spot with lots of yellow leaves.
Not only did we take some great fall family photos but also because these two are expecting their second child. They have been keeping this secret for awhile and now Matt can finally tell the world because they also find out the gender of the baby today.
She due the beginning of March and while they both just want a happy and healthy baby - Matt really wants a boy.
Tera knew this would be a special session, they are taking photos of these small milestones with Isabelle but also telling family and friends that they are expecting. Little did she know that there would be more to the session.
Matt had a surprise for Tera . . .
Matt contacted me about a week prior to their family session and said he wanted to propose to Tera and asked if he could do it at the session.
My answer: Yes, Of course.
I have never done a proposal so I was -pretty excited. Matt was excited too and wanted to ask her right off the bat but encouraged him to wait in case she cries. I gave him a prompt I would use so he would know.
We did a lot of photos beforehand just in case.
At some point Tera noticed Matt still had his wallet and phone in his pockets, when she started to question him, he went on high alert and slowly buttoned his shirt pocket - where the ring was.
We thought she was going to find it and blow the cover.
I put her in a special spot, told her to relax and expect Matt to run up to her. But Matt was on one knee behind her and when she turned around she was surprised. It was so special to witness such an amazing moment for this little family. Tera cried and was truly shocked Matt pulled it off without her knowing.
