A late summer vacation is just what my soul needed this year. 

I feel like this summer has flown by and the days are starting to merge into just one giant memory, anyone else? It has been a few years since we have been to the coast and this year it was just needed. 

I just love the ocean. The saltwater air, the peacefulness, the waves - it was amazing. 

We rented a house one block from the beach, so at night with all the windows open you could hear the ocean. Yeah, it was that good. I could live on the coast, but Oregon/Washington coast. I love the hills and pine trees with the ocean plus the cool weather is what I was built for. 

The best part about traveling and being on the coast - seafood. I love seafood. 
We ate seafood every single day we could. And it was delicious. 

My husband, Tom, went crabbing one day with our nephew and they came back with 46 crabs - it was a feast. He got them cleaned and cooked right off the boat so it was so much less work for us. We were able to eat fresh Pacific Ocean crab. It was really a wonderful experience. 

I brought my camera with me and wish I took more photos but so happy I didn't at the same time - a real break and not having to carry my camera bag around was great. We even brought our electric scooters and rode them around Lincoln City. 

Lincoln City is a small tourist town, on the beach the town has quite a few local little shops and some delicious restaurants. I brought my camera and my husband brought his drone so we were able to get some really great shots. We grabbed some videos too. Tell me what you think.
