Kolby & Andrea - Fairfield Idaho Wedding
Soldier Mountain Wedding - Fairfield, Idaho Wedding
My first time to Fairfield, Idaho, population 463 there isn't much there besides a gas station, ranches and Soldier Mountain. A little ski resort nestled far into the mountains.
I have seen more and more "destination" or short travel weddings. Couples are often choosing a little destination away from their hometown. Living in Salmon, I see so many wedding couples getting married at Sweet Water Hollow. Soldier Mountain was a destination wedding for Kolby and Andrea.
Soldier Mountain is a small ski hill, according to their website they have two chairlifts reaching up to 7,177′.
Kolby and Andrea hosted their destination wedding at Soldier Mountain with their ceremony outside and the reception inside. The ski resort itself has large open windows, a kitchen and bar. It was really modern with a lot of light. A beautiful choice.
The two had their ceremony just outside on the patio, looking toward Soldier Mountain. Kolby's brother married the two and even performed a song her wrote. Andrea looked so beautiful and was rocking the most gorgeous boots! Aren't they awesome?
The couple served their guests a prime rib dinner with the most beautiful fruit art I have ever seen. It was so beautiful and perfectly arranged.
It was really such a beautiful and special day for these two.
Eloping for Your Wedding: Embracing Intimacy and Adventure
When it comes to weddings, the image of a grand ceremony with a crowd of well-wishers is often the first thing that comes to mind. However, in recent years, a trend that's been gaining traction is eloping - an intimate and adventurous alternative to the traditional wedding extravaganza. Eloping allows couples to exchange vows in a more personal and meaningful way, prioritizing their connection and love over extravagant displays.
Choosing Intimacy
One of the main draws of eloping is the unparalleled intimacy it offers. With only a handful of your closest friends or family members as witnesses, the focus remains solely on you and your partner. This setting creates an environment where you can genuinely be yourselves, free from the pressures of hosting a large event. Sharing your vows in an intimate setting allows for raw and heartfelt moments, fostering a stronger emotional bond.
When choosing Idaho for elopement you are probably choosing it for it's natural beauty. Take advantage of that.
Adventure Awaits
Eloping isn't just about intimacy; it's also a chance to embark on an exciting adventure. Couples are breaking away from traditional venues and exploring breathtaking landscapes, historical landmarks, and remote destinations to tie the knot. Imagine saying your "I dos" atop a mountain peak, on a secluded beach at sunset, or in a charming little chapel nestled in the woods. The possibilities are endless, and the experience becomes not just a wedding, but a journey into the unknown.
I often see family and friends who book whitewater rafting adventures while eloping in Salmon, Idaho. Idaho has the most whitewater in the Lower 48.
Stress-Free Bliss
Planning a large wedding can be overwhelming. From coordinating guest lists and seating arrangements to choosing vendors and managing countless details, the process can be stressful. Eloping simplifies this considerably. With a smaller guest list and fewer logistics to consider, you're free to focus on what truly matters: your love and commitment to one another.
Personalization at Its Peak
Eloping allows couples to personalize every aspect of their day. From the location and vows to the attire and overall vibe, you have complete control. This freedom to express yourselves authentically creates a wedding day that's a true reflection of your relationship.
