I have worked with the Aldous family several times over the years and love when Danielle messages me for a session.
I know they will be styled nicely and they want to get out of there, my kind of client. This was the first session that Toryn had his "cheese" smile down. With many sessions that involve young children - its like herding cats. It really is.
I always tell parents, kids rule at sessions. Why? Because as soon as they are unhappy, upset - so is mom, usually. Then it all rolls downhill from there. So with any session with young children we are moving around, playing games and trying to have fun with incorporating posing in between and trust me when I tell you - it works.
This is what I do every time with the Aldous family, Toryn is two years old and full of energy. He is fun to follow around, explore new spots and find something to climb. We keep moving to keep him occupied and kind of distracted because it is kind of awkward to have this strange lady taking photos of you. But Toryn's good smiles always come from Auntie Jordan. Auntie Jordan has been at every single session I think helping get Toryn to smile. The first time she was running around on the grass with one of those push poppers. It worked!
Nowadays she doesn't have to put in so much work to get Toryn and now baby Reese to smile but she still tags along and supports them.
This year we also did a morning session which seemed to really work for the boys. I just loved this little session, Danielle looked beautiful but she always does. Right? She styled the boys perfectly for the summer session too.
