Sunflower Cake Smash
I am dying over this little sunflower cake smash.
I was so excited when Sarah contacted me to take Taya's cake smash photos. I got to take her five-year-old Ella's cake smash session a few years ago. For Ella she wore pink and we did hanging pink jars with wildflowers.
So I was even more stoked that Taya's cake smash would be sunflower themed! So cute. Sarah and I mixed and matched some things we already had on hand then I bought a quick little sunflower bouquet last minute just in case. I am so glad I did, I loved the added bundle of flowers.
She had two outfits and each was so cute. We moved props around to help blend the set together. I just love making these little sets. I like to keep it simple and not overkill - less really is more. I really loved the tablecloth under her. So cute and really want to use it again in am upcoming mini session.
Taya loved her cake. she really got into it and finally just had enough which is quite normal for cake smashes - once your child is done, they are done. Taya was a good sport she got into her frosting and was still going once she was covered in it.
I left a photo of Ella at her first birthday cake smash and Taya at hers this week! It's pretty neat we got to re-create the flower set up!
