Stanger Family
I haven't photographed the Stanger family in a couple years, and last time we took photos it was cold too. During their session it was CHILLY.
Really chilly.
With little kids you just never know what is going to happen then add really cold weather may result in a nightmare of a session but it was perfect.
Emery was so great. She was pretty shy but we got so many great photos.
We met at the Sacajawea Center, a beautiful spot especially if the weather works out just right like it did for their session. We just walked around and did whatever Emery would let us do. She even let mom and dad sneak away for some photos of just them. She patiently watched a wood pecker.

One of my favorite places to go during the fall is the Island Park. Its really easy and it's beautiful. Unfortunately, the Island Park is closed because of the construction of the Whitewater Park. Not only is the Island beautiful and great place for so many different things it is one of the few parks that allows dogs. In fact there is a dog park on the south end of the Island. With the Island closed more dog walkers are headed to the Sacajawea Center.
Which is great the Sacajawea Center is nice and open with a great walking path. Something I have noticed the last couple of times I have been there is the amount of dog poop everywhere.
I used to walk my own dog, Daisy daily there when I lived in town and there was rarely any trace of pets. Now with so many dogs there, it's everywhere. If you walk your dog in a public space please pick up after your pet. The city offers pet bags at the beginning of the trail where the bridge is.
Also please leash your pet, it's required at the Sacajawea Center but also safe for your pet, other animals and children. There is a fenced area for dogs if you don't want to leash them. Utilize that.
